Teachers' rebate scheme

7th January 2000 at 00:00
Michael Wills, learning and technology minister, will launch the multi-million pound Computers for Teachers scheme at BETT. To be eligible for a rebate, likely to be increased above the touted pound;200, teachers must buy a BECTA-approed computer or package, listed on its website from January 12. They must send the receipt and a letter from their head confirming they have completed or will take Lottery-funded computer training.
