Teenage pregnancies

6th October 2000 at 01:00
Love's young dream produces more babies in England than elsewhere. Teenage pregnancies, now approaching 100,000 a year, are the subject of a video made by single mothers. The Real Baby Show shows what parenthood is like. It covers topics such as telling your partner, booking a baby-sitter and the cost of clothes and food. An attractive jauntinessin the mothers' accounts of night-time feeds and feckless fathers doesn't dissipate their serious reminder that children are made in a few seconds but come to stay for life.

The Real Baby Show (price pound;6 plus pamp;p including teachers' notes) from The Hollybush Centre, Hollybush Walk, Hinton, Hereford HR2 6AS. Tel: 01432 269 437.
