Teenagers know employment is changing and appropriate qualifications are changing too. The Work Skills resource pack is a set of 11 photocopiable classroom activities for pupils between years 9 and 13. Wielding phrases such as "knowledge economy" and "globalisation" with some nonchalance, the pack gives students opportunities to think about what they might be doing a few years hence. Some involve role-play, exploring netwoking and negotiating. Others directly engage with reality, making plans for volunteering or work experience placements. All require imaginative and practical thought about the world that is waiting.
