Tennis Scotland has re-advertised the post of west of Scotland club development officer. A major part of the successful candidate's duties will be to work with schoolchildren and conduct in-service training for teachers, promote mini-tennis and work with local clubs.

Meanwhile, the Ritchie of Edinburgh Scottish Schools Tennis Cup draws have been announced. Belmont Academy, runner-up to the High School of Glasgow in last season's girls' competition, is this season's top seed.

Marr College is top seed for the boys' cup.
