Terminal 5 challenge

Pupils have been challenged to "do better than the experts" by designing an alternative to Heathrow's Terminal 5. After the fiasco over baggage reclaim at the terminal, pupils from 39 primaries took part in the T5 Construction Challenge, making their own versions from old newspapers. Joe Hardman, BAA Heathrow economic development manager, said: "This challenge showed there are lots of budding architects, designers and engineers in the schools around Heathrow."
