TES helps managers

MANAGERS should know there are free administrative support materials on the TES website.

The materials provide what schools need to process assessment information and look at how to locate and record such information, how to track pupils' progress and set targets, and how to analyse the data.

The idea is to help schools get more from such information. Another aim is to demonstrate best practice that is simple to follow and realistic inits objectives.

The site, updated every month, also takes you through available software packages - the popular ones, such as SIMS Assessment Manager, Key Solutions Assessment Suite and Phoenix First, as well as some less well-known but equally good packages.

The materials, created by Cogent Computer Solutions, are freely available: you can download documents and templates. Just log on to:
