The tragic death of schoolgirl Bunmi Shagaya during her first school trip has touched the hearts of parents and children alike. Whatever your feelings, spare a thought for the teachers in whose trust those children were entrusted. Anyone who has experienced the level of responsibility for children while on trips like this will confirm it is neither easy or straightforward. In fact, it is a thankless task that leaves teachers mentally and physically wrecked long after the trip has ended. This ill-fated trip will have left its indelible mark.
