Thumbs down for local schools

Parents are increasingly unhappy with their local schools, a government poll shows. Nearly four out of 10 parents said the choice of secondary schools in their area was poor.

The poll of 1,000 parents and carers found that 15 per cent were quite or very dissatisfied with their local schools.
