Edexcel GCSE science curricula, which could include up to 70 per cent coursework, was criticised by teachers attending a workshop by the exam board. One physics teacher said: "This is disappointing - we long to be freed from internal assessment as it is enormously burdensome and time-consuming, and it encourages dishonesty among pupils."
