Time to care campaign

27th January 2006 at 00:00
The Time to Care campaign aims to highlight the problems of children in care inside and outside school.

By starting a debate about how we can improve the attainment of looked-after pupils, The TESS and TES hope to help increase the proportion who leave school with good qualifications.

Official figures show that 60 per cent of young people leaving care had no Standard grades in 2003-04, compared with fewer than 10 per cent of 16 and 17-year-olds asa whole.
