Time for more

A year or two ago at a Council of Europe seminar near Dublin attended by several of us from Scotland, I suggested that adult courses on research for the retired should be offered as an experiment in bigger cities.

They would cover a much wider range than the usual local and family history, including perhaps one's past occupation.

I never heard of any such adult education being offered later in Scotland. I should be pleased to hear of any such activities.
