18th May 2007 at 01:00
Gorseinon College in Swansea has recorded seven grade 1s from the Welsh inspectorate Estyn - the maximum possible score - in its latest inspection.

The college becomes only the second further education establishment in Wales to achieve the outstanding score in all areas of learning. Meanwhile, in the secondary sector, St Joseph's RC high school in Newport has joined an elite list of schools in Wales to score an "outstanding" batch of grade 1s in seven areas of learning inspected by Estyn recently.
