Time-saving ideas

As the new term starts, the days of early morning photocopying and late-night marking return. But these top tips from the TES community will save you time.

- Sapphirexx suggests giving every pupil a responsibility for the term - for example, librarian, switching off the computers or glueing in sheets.

- Trinity0097 recommends creating stickers of feedback phrases such as "check your spelling" or "use paragraphs". Stick these in books instead of writing the same comments over and over.

- Robin65 has a great motto to stop admin taking over life: "Only ever touch a piece of paper once." If you're given something to file, sign or respond to, do it straight away. It will save you time looking for papers you've mislaid.
