Tories promise education overhaul

Welsh Conservatives have pledged to overhaul education in Wales and give more control to teachers, parents and governors. Launching the party's education policy last week, leader Nick Bourne and shadow education minister Paul Davies said it would fund schools directly and close the GCSE and A-level performance gap with the rest of the UK.
