Tories: you're fired

Conservatives have criticised the apprenticeship-matching service promoted by Sir Alan Sugar for filling just 600 vacancies in the last six months out of a total of 18,000. David Willetts, the shadow skills secretary, said: "Instead of celebrity gimmicks like this, the Government should be funding apprenticeship places and making it easier for businesses to run the schemes."
