Training for all staff

26th January 2001 at 00:00
What are the requirements for part-time teachers attending staff training days?

The duties of part-time teachers should be calculated on a pro rata basis, unless an alternative arrangement has been specifically agreed. This means, for instance, that a teacher working part-ime may be expected to attend two-and-a-half training days. These need not be the same two-and-a-half days in the week as the teaching programme, but one would hope that any difficulties in that respect might be resolved by consultation and sensible advance planning.
