AS ANTHEA Millett prepares to clear her desk at the Teacher Training Agency, there is no sign of any clamour from potential chief executives to take on the job.

Frankie Sulke, the current head of teacher training, is likely to apply, but the salary of pound;80,000 plus a possible 10 per cent performance-related bonus may not be enough to persuade others.
