"Babies into books: what we now know" is the title of a conference to be held at Birmingham University, on March 23. It will explore the best ways of starting young children with books, present recent research, and affirm the importance of sharing books with young children. Speakers include: Wendy Cooling, who initiated the Bookstart Project as director of the Children's Book Foundation.
