Nothing stirs up debate like school inspectors. This week, TES Connect asked the question, "Would education be better off without inspectors?" It is fair to say that they are not a firm favourite among teachers, but some see the value of an inspector knocking on their door.

Love the result of your poll so far: 100% think schools would be better off


Expect poll will say "yes" but question should surely be "Would education be better off with better inspectors?"


better qualified inspectors not failed headteachers, and a more supportive role, not punitive regime
