Union fights appeal

28th February 1997 at 00:00
Leaders of the lecturers' union NATFHE are believed to be preparing legal action over the sacking of Accrington and Rossendale College union secretary Pat Walsh.

The union is considering a challenge to Mr Walsh's unsuccessful appeal against redundancy.

He suffered a setback last week when union members voted against a planned walkout over the issue. NATFHE members held a meeting after a ballot came down in favour of action, by just one vote.
