Victims of violence

23rd March 2001 at 00:00
AN estimated three children in every classroom are victims of domestic violence, but half of them fail to tell anyone what they are going through, according to new research.

These statistics are contained in a report by the charity, Refuge, which is calling for a naional strategy to tackle the problem.

This, it believes, should include training for all staff working in schools, support for parents through involvement in school activities and priority admission to schools for children living in refuge accommodation.
