Thanks to Mike Kent for a very thought-provoking article. In the penultimate paragraph he talked about the advent of managed learning platforms and the development of the internet.

I'm afraid that at the rate at which Mr Gove is plundering the Harnessing Technology budget to fund the madcap free schools idea, we may be back to the blackboard and the dusty white chalk he mentioned earlier in the article. Building Schools for the Past, I fear...
