Volunteer varieties

Nearly 10,000 independent school sixth-formers are involved in community service on a regular basis, a survey by the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference has shown. On average some 50 pupils and four staff in each school take part in a variety of activities including help for refugee children in Croatia, writing computer games for handicapped pupils, and running clubs for disadvantaged children.
