The Inspectorate knows when not to visit a school. St Mirin's primary in Glasgow was due to be descended on during election week in May. But headteacher Maire Whitehead is the SNP candidate for Cathcart and the school is used as a polling station.

HMI is sensibly postponing its arrival.
