Wagging tongues

There should be no dozing off at tomorrow's conference in Stirling of the Scottish Association for Language Teaching. While secondary and further education specialists can attend sessions on "soup and the single currency", legends and sorcery in Limousin or "making the 'Foundies' work", their primary colleagues are invited to "consolidate their skills" in the language they teach.

If that is too daunting they could sign up for the session on Standard grade Urdu or "an introduction to Japanese - the Balerno model".
