Warning for Gove

US Education Secretary Arne Duncan has cautioned his English counterpart, Michael Gove, against too much enthusiasm for parent-run free schools. Mr Duncan, visiting London last week, said: "We saw in the US that anyone who wanted to open a school got the right - that doesn't work. You must have a high bar for entry, and pick the best from the best. One should not let a thousand flowers bloom."
