Warning over failure of PE for all

The whole physical education programme in schools should be reviewed, the SRU's technical manager told MSPs.

Broad-based PE programmes for all pupils were being held back by the emphasis o certification in secondary and the limitations of the 5-14 programme, Douglas Arneil said.

"What is holding us back is the number of children who play sport," Mr Arneil added.
