RSPB Feed the Birds Day, October 30, is the time when wildlife starts to benefit from an extra helping hand. The RSPB website offers advice and information on feeding garden birds, and a free pack:

Feed the Birds Day is a great way to start a feeding station in preparation for the Big Schools Birdwatch in January as part of the national Big Garden Birdwatch.
