We'd all vote abolition

If only 10 per cent of all primary and secondary teachers chose to cast their votes in the General Teaching Council elections, then Neil Taylor surely has every right to press for the early retirement of the GTC (TES, April 9). Put such a question in a referendum and I am sure far more than 10 per cent would respond!
