Westminster duo

Westminster Council has taken on two politicians with strong education backgrounds to boost school standards. Baroness Gillian Shephard, education secretary from 1994-97 in John Major's government, and Baroness Estelle Morris, who held the post in 2001-02 under Tony Blair, will form part of an independent education commission to examine how to improve exam results while raising achievement.
