And here's a thought for the indefatigable Lib-Dem education man, Don Foster.

The party conference may have loathed his bright idea about Neighbourhood Schools Trusts - but Tory opposite number David "Two Brains" Willetts just loves it and hopes to steal it for himself.

Apparently, it fits well with his bizarre plan to turn schools into workers' co-operatives. At this point the Diary made its excuses and left, in order to lie down in a darkened room for the next millennium.
