What am I bid?

The Homework Diary Company Foundation, set up by the publishers of High 5 two years ago, awards pound;1,000 to a Scottish secondary school for a project which is seen to promote values and citizenship. The money is not ring-fenced for any particular type of project. Schools are asked to prepare bids explaining what they will spend the money on.

Last year's winner, Inverkeithing High in Fife, is sending students to Ben Mali Senior Secondary in South Africa's Eastern Cape next month.

The HDC Foundation Awards are made by the Headteachers' Association of Scotland. This year's award will be launched in June on www.has-scotland.co.uk with the award presented at the HAS annual conference in November.
