For the BP Buildacar competition, teams of full-time students aged under 20 are invited to design and construct a vehicle with safety in mind. National finals will be held at the Motor Industry Research Association in Warwickshire on October 5-6 1996. There are Pounds 12,000 worth of cash prizes to be won as well as Awards for Excellence and a CDi player for every finalist. Winning teams and their cars will be seen at the 1996 Birmingham International Motor Show. Details: BP Buildacar '96, 267 Kenton Road, Kenton, Harrow HA3 OHQ.
