For the BP Buildacar competition, teams of full-time students aged under 20 are invited to design and construct a vehicle with safety in mind. National finals will be held at the Motor Industry Research Association in Warwickshire on October 5-6 1996. There are Pounds 12,000 worth of cash prizes to be won as well as Awards for Excellence and a CDi player for every finalist.
