When the boat comes in

The RNLI website has launched a new education resource for teachers, youth workers, parents and children. The interactive education website, geared towards children aged primarily from 7 to 14, offers curriculum-linked activities, free downloadable resources and lesson plans, plus easy to order information and teaching packs. Young people will be able to view RNLI launches and crew interviews, and take part in online quizzes and games. The website resources are strongly linked to citizenship but also have cross-curricular activities designed to appeal to teachers in a range of subject areas, including science, design and technology, maths, English and history. The site enables the RNLI education team to keep in regular contact with teachers and students who can subscribe to frequent newsletters.
