Where's the beef in the silver service deal?;FE Focus;Letter

I refer to your article "The Ward legacy" (TES, March 27). It discusses local negotiated agreements in FE corporations and their conditions of service resulting in increased teaching hours for lecturers and a cut in leave.

However the reporter then claims that only 3 per cent of lecturing staff remain on Silver Book conditions of service. Silver Book lecturers, including myself, would welcome the data upon which your writer arrived at his conclusion.
