Who dares writes

19th March 2004 at 00:00
The "other SAS" is the Scattered Authors' Society, a group of established children's writers who have formed a network of mutual support, challenging the widespread perception that to produce popular books for young readers is to become a millionaire. Authors' Choice 2004 is their latest publicity campaign, a set of three posters in which members of the SAS talk about their own works. Mary Hoffman describes her new stories about Grace, Jean Ure lets us into the secret of how her latest novel came about and some two dozen other writers join in. Authors' Choice posters can be ordered from Linden Lea, Poolmill, Bridstow, Ross-on-Wye HR9 6QE. Send sae with 28p postage for A4 posters, 42p for A3 and 60p for both sets.
