Woodhead found wanting

17th September 2010 at 01:00

Chris Woodhead's criticism of The TES ("It's pandered to the angst of an insecure profession...", September 10) is based, he states, on seeing "the odd copy I have come across in school staffrooms (over) the past 10 years".

We had exactly the same problem with him as chief inspector, when his criticisms of the teaching profession were also not rooted in evidence.

John Dunford, Chair of Whole Education and former general secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders.
