World Book Day

9th February 2007 at 00:00
Thursday, March 1 is the 10th anniversary of World Book Day. Packs of posters, leaflets, photocopiable activities and a booklet of ideas have been distributed to all schools, with free pound;1 book tokens for children to be given out from Monday, February 26.

This year a token can be exchanged for one of 10 special pound;1 titles by Michael Terry, Julia Donaldson, Vivian French, Jeremy Strong, Steve Cole, Anthony Horowitz, Caroline Lawrence, Nick Arnold, Justin Somper and Louise Rennison; or put towards the cost of any book costing pound;2.99 or more.

The organisers would like to hear of any school events being arranged for March 1, so they can compile a national register.
