"We are here as part of Science Week. Our topic is 'Space' and this provides a good introduction, stimulating the children's curiosity. Other years from the school have also been as I want to raise the profile of science. Their initial planning has been very good - I was sent a pack with good notes and curriculum links, and staff could come here for an evening.

The Amazing Animals show went down very well. The presenter used the correct vocabulary, which will have interested several of the children and they will remember the words. The Our World exhibition was good too: they could engage with the exhibits on different levels. The workshop was helpful in building an understanding of what you need to do to be alive.

The leaders re-phrased questions when the children didn't understand. I think the children have all benefited from the experience. I hoped they would be inquisitive and there has been plenty of stimulation. They have been working together to find things out."
