Young chefs wanted to cook up a storm

Secondary schools are being invited to register for a nationwide competition, School Cooks, to find the best young chef in the country and win #163;10,000 of school kitchen equipment. Launched by celebrity chef Simon Rimmer (pictured), who hosts the channel Five series Meals in Moments, the contest allows children to upload videos of themselves cooking, with teachers and pupils voting for their favourite cook. A national cook-off will take place in Liverpool in April 2011. Register at
