Youth music foundation tunes up;In brief

THE National Foundation for Youth Music was formally launched this week, backed with pound;30 million of lottery cash. The foundation was set up by Chris Smith, the Culture Secretary, and is chaired by Gavin Henderson, principal of Trinity College of Music. The trust aims to widen participation among young people as well as raise standards.
