Testing times in Oz

Primary teachers will be tested on their literacy, numeracy and science skills before entering classrooms in Queensland, Australia, under new laws passed by the state government last week. Education and Training Minister Geoff Wilson said this would allow the Queensland College of Teachers to develop a new testing regime for teacher graduates.
