How uplifting to read the supplement Innovation Stations in your May 19 issue and to wallow in the knowledge and expertise of professionals who have spent a lifetime watching and listening to children rather than regurgitating pre-printed plans.
Does Mick Waters (of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) know how uninspiring it is to have one’s daily practice driven by the targets of adults, many of whom have never taught young children, rather than being led by the interests and aspirations of the children themselves?
Please assure me that (schools minister) Lord Adonis will have received a copy of this supplement - and, having digested it, will pass it around the Cabinet as compulsory reading.
