Richard Attenborough, the actor and film director, has launched a bursary to help fund theatre visits and workshops for disadvantaged pupils. The bursary, jointly sponsored by Lord Attenborough and Chickenshed theatre company, was launched this week at a gala event in London. Guests included comedian Rory Bremner, actor Simon Callow and singer Shirley Bassey.
