There was actually a discussion on education at the aforementioned GTC meeting - to wit, subject “cognateness” (you’ll have to read page six - Ed). A disgruntled intervention came from Peter Clark of St Andrews University who introduced himself as “probably the only professional philosopher in this room”.

“There’s plenty of amateur ones though,” suggested probation committee convener May Ferries.
