Actor Tom Hiddleston has released a video to promote a campaign highlighting the importance of education for children affected by emergencies.
The star of the Thor films and spy thriller The Night Manager is an ambassador for Unicef, which is running the #EmergencyLessons initiative to raise awareness about how schooling is harmed by conflict and natural disasters.
The campaign draws on the experiences of children living in countries such as Guinea, Iraq, Nepal and Ukraine, describing what they have to endure to receive an education.
In today’s video Hiddleston praises two students M’Mah and Adamah, from Guinea, who described their favourite school activity being taking part in a community radio programme to promote hygiene and help combat disease.
Hiddleston then goes on to describe his own favourite lessons from school - all delivered from his dressing room of the new Thor film.
