Teachers in primary schools find it difficult to relate to Mr Woodhead's admiration for whole-class teaching. How does this square with the needs of a mixed-ability class and the requirement to deliver a 10-subject national curriculum, properly differentiated?
Were Mr Woodhead the education correspondent of the Daily Mail his behaviour would seem appropriate. Perhaps he is shaping up for his next career move. My teaching colleagues and I hope so.
