Thropey writing

While TES Magazine still contains some excellent material, the initial piece written by Ms Anne Thrope sets an inappropriate tone. It is a shame that in almost every article she has written she has had to resort to the inclusion of either vulgar language, crude sexual imagery or both. We have a teacher referring to her husband as a “bastard” and as “a two-syllable word that begins with W and rhymes with banker”. There is a place for lighter articles in the magazine but I question how appropriate these articles are in a publication that is meant to support the education of children and young people. Let her write about her experiences as a teacher, but let there be a point to what she writes and let it be clean.
