Information technology education and training in south-west Wales has improved, according to Estyn.
The effectiveness of leadership and strategic management was awarded a grade 4 in 2004, highlighting shortcomings in many areas of IT provision.
Estyn says providers are now working more closely on planning and delivering initiatives, but the area still lacks a regional strategy.
