A handbook that gives headteachers on-the-spot advice about how to deal with media relations, tricky staff and unruly pupils has been published.
The Quick Reference Handbook for School Leaders has been distilled from years of advice by the National Association of Head Teachers and is set out in easy-to-read bullet points.
“New headteachers would be well-advised to read the section on media interviews before they are rushed into statements they later regret,” said Brian Fidler, professor of education management at Reading University.
